I've got a mixed topic bag of 11 of my current favourites. See what you think and let me know in the comments below if there are any you'd add:

Topic: Christian Q and A
Frequency: Fortnightly
Running time: 30 mins (usually)
New Testament theologian and prolific author and Bible commentator Tom Wright answers listener questions on topics ranging from atonement and mission to slavery and Bible infallibility.

Topic: Current affairs
Frequency: Daily
Running time: 16 - 20 mins
Each episode focuses on one topic that is hitting the news and explores it in more depth. Recent topics have included Jewish identity, social media, knife attacks, allergies and the iPhone.

Topic: Various (talks)
Frequency: Weekly when series is live
Running time: 11 - 25 mins
Each episode, a guest speaker is invited to talk about a subject that sounds boring, but that they find fascinating. Some of my favourite episodes have been on the Argos catalogue, ice cream vans and animal vaginas.

Topic: Christian leadership
Frequency: Multiple times a week
Running time: 1 hr - 1 hr 45 mins
Each episode features one of more guests for discussion on topics such as leadership, evangelism, culture and church growth. Guests have included John Ortberg, Ed Stetzer, Christine Birch and Max Lucado.

Topic: Christian topical discussion
Frequency: Fortnightly
Running time: 30 - 45 mins
A really fun discussion show hosted by a comedy writer and an author / teacher / screenwriter. They talk theology, books, culture, music, comedy and lots more, and also feature special guests. It was winner of the Podcast of the Year at the Premier Digital Awards 2018.

Topic: Comedy
Frequency: 4 episodes delivered monthly
Running time: 30 min
Box set BBC comedy featuring up-and-coming comedians as well as more established acts.

Topic: Christian interview
Frequency: Weekly
Running time: 1 hour
This podcast from Premier Christian Radio ties in with Christianity magazine’s featured interview and gives excellent insight into the lives of eminent Christians. It has recently starred Francis Chan, Jackie Pullinger, Rick Warren and Francine Rivers.

Topic: Christian spiritual formation
Frequency: Fortnightly
Running time: 25 - 40 min
Different speakers bringing encouragement and inspiration on the topic of spiritual disciplines, and spiritual formation, including solitude, joy, hearing God, simplicity and being a servant.

Topic: Missional community
Frequency: Sporadic but frequent
Running time: 20 - 45 mins
Interviews and talks to help equip the church to be effective in mission.

Topic: Social media
Frequency: Weekly
Running time: 23 min
Weekly insights into hot topics in the world of social media.

Topic: Various (documentary)
Frequency: Weekly
Running time: 30 min
Fascinating documentaries presented by Josie Long on a whole host of topics, including memory, kindness, libraries, translation and machines.
